Lily Allen quits music?

GOOD FOR HER!!! She should just quit music if she feels that downloading is actually reducing the number of cd's that is sold. Even though downloading can be a problem in terms of reducing the number of physical sales, why cant they just use that to their advantage and advertise it over the web? Why cant they just offer another means by which they can earn money?

Some artists are just using the easy way out and blaming illegal downloading for their dwindling cd sales. What about itunes? Why is it that artists using this medium prosper whilst the others just continuously complain? This is the age of technology. Either embrace it, or just shut up. I personally buy original cd's after downloading a few of their songs to find out if the cd is worth buying. 10% of the world's population engage in illegal downloading. But of that 10%, there are at least 5% or more that actually buy the originals after listening to the downloaded ones.

If you want to succeed, dont punish the ones that help to promote your music for free. MAKE BETTER MUSIC.

Also, singers are really just too greedy. They can afford all these expensive items, luxury cars and expensive champagne. What have they got to complain about if their sales reduce. Its just a matter of supply and demand. If you can reduce the price of music, there will definitely be an increase in sales. I know I will buy more shitty music if they actually reduce their prices. Not many people earn $50k a year to enable them to buy every single piece of music without first being able to listen to it and assess whether it is worth buying. This way, they will not only curb illegal downloading, but also promote good morals (i think).

In conclusion, people like Lily Allen should just shut up, think about what they are actually saying. If they want profit, learn from what other people have to say and not just be an asshole and think you are the more unfortunate one. I know of many people less fortunate than you!
